Digital Communication Services Engineer

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a Digital Communication Services Engineer to join its consulting team.

As a consultant, you will support our clients in the Defence for our brand Infogene (Group expertise in Digitalization, Industrial IT, and Cybersecurity).

About the Role

• Design and review complex systems and network architectures.
• Ensure systems meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Plan and lead systems integration and automation efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Develop networking solutions for cloud-based applications (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
• Support project and service delivery teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for implementation and support.
• Provide technical consultations and demonstrations.
• Maintain awareness of infrastructure activities and tools.
• Lead permanent and temporary technical teams.
• Deputize for senior staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining core network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network tools.
• Experience leading small technical teams.
• Certification: CCNP Routing and Switching.
• Familiarity with IP networking (IPv6, QoS, MPLS, MP-BGP).
• Experience in service-driven IT environments (SLA/SOP).
• Technical project management experience.
• Fluency in English is mandatory
