Our client is a rapidly growing contractor operating within the construction and civil engineering sector. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects across Dublin and surrounding areas, they are recognised for their commitment to safety, strong site leadership, and a positive team-focused environment.

Due to continued growth and project demands, they are now seeking an experienced Digger Driver that will do some groundworks as well, to join their team on a busy site based in Drogheda for a couple of weeks and then on their site in Rathcoole.

About Your New Job

As a Digger Driver, you will play a key role in supporting site operations through both groundworks and plant operation duties. This is a hands on position suited to someone with previous construction experience who is comfortable operating machinery while also assisting with general site tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Operating a site digger safely and efficiently to transport materials around the site.
• Assisting with groundworks including drainage, kerbing, trenching, and backfilling.
• Supporting tradespeople and site management with daily construction activities.
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials as required.
• Carrying out general labouring duties including site clean up and maintaining work areas.
• Ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are stored safely and securely.
• Conducting daily checks on machinery and reporting any faults or issues.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Digger Driver and Groundworker on a construction site.
• A valid Safe Pass (essential).
• Manual Handling certification (essential).
• A valid CSCS Digger Ticket (essential).
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices on site.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

What's on Offer

• €23.32 per hour.
• Monday - Friday, full time hours. Overtime available but not guaranteed.
• Opportunity to work on a busy and well managed site in Drogheda and Rathcoole.
• Potential for ongoing work subject to performance and project requirements.
