Dexcom are Hiring Technicians for Front End Night Shift

Engineering Technician - Front End Night Shift. 12 hour night shifts every Monday to Wednesday and alternate Thursdays, following a repeating 4 on/3 off - 3 on/4 off schedule.

• Under the direction of the Process Engineering Manager, provide technical support to equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation, and transfer of replicate custom automated equipment used in scaling up manufacturing for existing or new Dexcom products.
• Support cross functional equipment deployment teams while working with outside suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.
• Work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
• Test performance of electro mechanical assemblies using test equipment.
• Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
• Analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation.
• Perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
• Carry out activities in equipment development under the supervision of the project engineer, including assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, and completing engineering studies and validations.
• Follow Dexcom's Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring all tasks comply with safety requirements.
• Update equipment related documentation (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.

• Level 6/7 qualification and 0-2 years related experience (Technician1), 2-4 years (Technician2), 4-6 years (Technician3).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
• Ability to write routine reports, pass downs, and correspondence.
• Effective presentation of information and response to questions from supervisors, engineers, and managers.
• Knowledge and experience with PLCs and automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, electro mechanical systems, and packaging equipment.
• Experience with process improvement projects (improving yields, reducing downtime).
• Proven ability to work hands on in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and personal interaction skills.
• Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Technical writing skills applied to manufacturing documentation and process development.
• Experience in creating and revising technical documentation.
