As public sector organisations increasingly shift their operations to the cloud, the need for secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure has never been more pressing. Your purpose is to help clients implement DevSecOps practices that ensure robust, compliant, and high-performing digital services - both in Squarcle -built solutions and within our clients' environments. From designing secure architectures to leading cloud deployments, your work will have real-world impact across vital public sector systems.
You'll also help shape Squarcle's internal infrastructure and security practices, contributing directly to how we deliver trusted and scalable technology services.
Our structure
At Squarcle , we work in a matrix structure designed to support your growth and success. You'll have a Performance Manager to guide your career development, an Engagement Manager to support your day-to-day project work, and a Capability Lead to ensure best practice across tools, people, and processes. This role sits within our Digital Capability , where you'll work closely with Kev, our Head of Technology Services , and Alex , our Digital Transformation MD . Your Performance Manager and project assignment will be confirmed once your first engagement is agreed.

- Design and manage scalable, secure cloud environments using Azure Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
- Lead the implementation of DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, secrets management, zero-trust security, and vulnerability management
- Develop secure cloud-native architectures including microservices, containers, and serverless patterns
- Ensure compliance with industry security and privacy standards ( e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Secure containerised environments, including Kubernetes and Docker
- Collaborate with developers to integrate secure deployment pipelines across the SDLC
- Support deployments in client environments, including on-prem and multi-cloud
- Continuously improve infrastructure processes for performance, reliability, and security

The skillsyou'll need to succeed in this role
- Deep experience in Azure infrastructure (with IaC using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform)
- Hands-on knowledge of DevSecOps tooling and techniques (CI/CD, secrets management, threat modelling)
- Experience implementing security standards across cloud and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with container security ( e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- A strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and GDPR
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
