Location: Dublin (Onsite, 5 days per week)

Contract: 12 months rolling

Company Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Global Information Security team. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve potential issues in both development and production environments. This role involves supporting daily production service delivery and application deployment, while taking a key role in infrastructure planning, engineering, environment design, and management for commercial and custom software applications.

This position is perfect for someone with experience in Generative AI application design and implementation, particularly in a DevOps or technology integration capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

As an individual contributor within an agile Engineering Services team, you will:

• Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Research, plan, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade operating systems, applications, hardware, and software interfaces.
• Apply knowledge of network fundamentals and security best practices, understanding both low-level infrastructure communication and high-level system functionality.
• Demonstrate a strong troubleshooting/problem-solving mindset.

Required Skills:

• Experience supporting infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.
• 5-7 years of production engineering/operations experience .
• Strong Linux Systems Administration/Engineering skills, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with MS-SQL and Oracle, with ability to perform basic queries.
• Solid understanding of Change and Incident Management processes.
• Knowledge of Agile projects, roles, and development support.
• Ability to manage multiple competing projects to completion.
• Detail-oriented work ethic and aptitude for learning new technologies independently.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Customer-centric approach focused on delivering business solutions.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of Generative AI technologies and large language models in a technology integration context.
• Knowledge of emerging database technologies for generative AI applications.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift or Docker.
• Familiarity with Windows Servers and web applications using IIS.
• Strong Scripting skills for automation (Visual Basic, Perl, Python, PowerShell, BASH) in a DevOps environment.
• Experience with server and application patching.
• Good understanding of protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/TCP/SMTP/SNMP/DNS).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Subversion, Git, JIRA, Confluence).
• Knowledge of encryption technologies (HSM, OpenSSL).
• Familiarity with centralized logging tools like Splunk.
