Developer with Findur, SQL and Java - Application Support - City London

Our client is an international bank with offices in the City of London. They are looking to recruit a Senior Developer with Openlink Findur, SQL and Java to develop and support the Treasury applications systems for the bank. The role involves supporting London and Global Treasury Applications and Systems along with OpenLink's Findur treasury system as a MS SQL Server DBA with Application Support, developing and implementing solutions for London and Global Treasury Systems requirements.

• Develop and support Treasury applications and systems, including OpenLink Findur.
• Ensure the integrity, security and accuracy of the production database environment and maintain good performance of dependent applications.
• Plan and implement operating procedures for database backup and recovery.
• Develop database-related application development standards covering database creation, software placement, storage and auditing.
• Maintain the integrity of the recovery system at all times and initiate formal testing of the recovery system.
• Develop database procedures as necessary to enhance the application suite.
• Respond to, resolve and document support calls for production and test applications.
• Maintain documentation supporting the build, maintenance and operational procedures of the database environment.
• Act as the technical liaison between database operations and vendor support.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 2 to 5 years solid experience as a MS SQL Server DBA (2005 and 2008) coupled with Java development and support.
• Microsoft SQL Server Administration (Enterprise Edition) experience. High level T-SQL programming (stored procedures, functions, triggers).
• Experience with mirroring, log shipping and SQL Server replication; SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services maintenance and tuning.
• Good understanding of a Windows environment with AD domain and user administration.
• OpenLink Findur Treasury application experience is handy but not required. Training will be provided if needed.
• Change management concepts and application configuration and operation of clustered database servers using external storage; scripting of stored procedures; security concepts of database management.

• The role will be to work as a MS SQL DBA with an element of supporting financial applications development with SQL Server and Java. The financial applications include OpenLink Findur and Sungard Panorama; training will be provided.
• Client seeks an individual with experience of Findur and AVS scripting, but this is not mandatory as training will be provided.
• Salary for this role is negotiable and expected to be in the range £55K - £65K + benefits.
