SailGP Technologies, originally based in New Zealand since 2001, is the high-performance design, engineering, and manufacturing arm of SailGP. It has pioneered high-performance applied innovation in sail racing. In Spring 2024, SailGP Technologies relocated to Southampton, UK, to a new state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hands-on design and production support across projects.
  2. Support project and production engineering activities.
  3. Manage and update technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and version control.
  4. Operate and drive CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino).
  5. Assist with organizing and maintaining the construction drawings directory.
  6. Work towards clearly defined, measurable objectives with minimal supervision, applying strong operational planning skills.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert, bringing practical knowledge to evaluate information, resolve issues, and make sound judgments.
  8. Apply knowledge from specialist training and industry experience.
  9. Exercise decision-making autonomy within the team, with final approvals from senior management.
  10. Collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  11. Contribute to defining and improving complex practices and procedures.
  12. Take ownership of deliverables, progress, and outcomes, ensuring accountability with limited managerial oversight.
