Design Manager

Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead the detailed design development of building services systems, ensuring that all technical, performance, and commercial requirements are met. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating design activities, driving quality and compliance, and supporting project delivery from concept through to construction.

• Coordinate and manage the full MEP design process across all project stages.

• Act as the interface between consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.

• Review and approve design submissions, calculations, and technical drawings.

• Manage design change control processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

• Lead design coordination meetings and oversee the clash detection and resolution process.

• Ensure all MEP designs align with sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental objectives.

• Provide technical support during tendering and throughout the construction phases.

You are an experienced MEP design professional with a proven ability to manage complex design processes, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure technical excellence. You'll bring strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills, along with a commitment to delivering high quality engineering solutions.

• Extensive experience in MEP design coordination and management within the construction industry.

• Strong understanding of design standards, regulatory compliance, and sustainability requirements.

• Proficiency with design management tools and BIM coordination platforms.
