Surrey - working across 2 projects in the Southern region
Contract

1st Step Solutions is working on behalf of a leading contractor seeking to appoint a Design Manager for two projects in the Southern Region.

The Lead Design Manager must have experience leading the design process and coordinating with MEP and CSA teams.

Responsibilities:

Focus on technical, cost, program, delivery, and resilience aspects.
Lead the internal and external design teams and manage the Design Tracker and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
Coordinate with global colleagues to ensure consistent design delivery and methodologies across projects worldwide.
Chair meetings to discuss innovations, new design methodologies/technologies, and standards for all project regions.
Collaborate with utilities consultants regarding site utility availability, planning, application, quotes, and phasing.
Perform due diligence exercises for real estate clients before site acquisition, focusing on data center master planning and construction.
Engage with local consultants to review designs for compliance prior to submission to local authorities.
Assist in defining construction phasing strategies and master planning based on utility availability on site.
