Overview

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Renewable Energy

Location: Remote (UK-wide travel) Employment Type: Full-time

The Role: Join a growing renewable energy team as an Electrical Design Engineer. You'll conduct site surveys, assess electrical systems, and produce detailed reports for solar PV installations - all while working independently with nationwide travel.

Responsibilities

• Survey electrical systems for solar PV suitability.
• Identify defects and report potential issues.
• Produce clear, professional survey reports with bills of quantities & scope of works.
• Coordinate with the technical team and manage your own survey schedule.
• Travel to project sites using a company vehicle.

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and regulations.
• Experience with solar PV installations (commercial experience a plus).
• Excellent IT, reporting, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Full UK driving license, over 25 years old.

Qualifications

• AM2
• 18th Edition
• NVQ Level 3
• Level 3 Testing & Inspection (2394/2395 or 2391)
• Level 4 Design & Verification (2396) - desirable
• Solar qualification - a bonus
