Job Title - Design Engineer

Job Location - Co. Tyrone

Salary - £35K - £45K BOE

About the Company:

We are currently on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding Engineering firm based close to Dungannon.

This role would see you assist in the continual development of their existing range of products, producing detailed drafts and ensure that assigned projects are delivered to time, quality and cost specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create detailed drawings and BOM's for production & logistics.
• Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions.
• Design and implement process improvements for existing automation equipment.
• Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
• Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
• Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies.
• Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
• To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
• Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.

Experience Required:

• 3+ years' proven experience in product design and mechanical engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in 3D design software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of system design concepts and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as a team.
