Design Engineer - Subsea

Are you looking to take the next step in your engineering career with a business that supports global offshore projects across oil, gas, and renewables? We're seeking a Draughting Engineer to join our collaborative and forward-thinking team in Surrey.

In this role within our Engineering division, you'll support projects from initial concept through to delivery. Your responsibilities will include producing high-quality technical designs and drawings, coordinating with sub-suppliers, and contributing to innovative solutions for offshore structures.

This position offers more than desk-based work. Once trained, you'll have opportunities to visit onshore and offshore sites, including wind turbines and oil and gas platforms, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a varied and rewarding role.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed technical drawings and models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Draftsight
• Supporting proposal development by gathering accurate costings and timelines from sub-suppliers
• Assisting project managers with coordination, logistics, documentation, and feasibility studies
• Working with field data and site observations to develop design solutions
• Contributing to onshore and offshore inspections, feasibility studies, and construction supervision (post-training)

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Draftsight
• A proactive, organized, and adaptable approach to work
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and offshore locations
• Experience in offshore renewables or oil and gas is desirable but not essential
