Design Engineer - CSA

Our client is a leading turnkey delivery partner for large-scale data centre construction across Europe, providing full-service solutions from design and construction through to commissioning. The project team is now seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a major data centre project in Dublin, supporting the development, coordination and delivery of design solutions across the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) disciplines, in close coordination with MEP.

The Role

You will support the coordination and delivery of CSA design solutions, ensuring designs are compliant, fully coordinated and aligned with project requirements - working closely with internal teams, consultants and site-based construction teams to keep design intent and delivery in step on a fast-paced, technically complex build.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines
• Preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Helping ensure design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Coordinating with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders on design-related activities
• Participating in Design Meetings, Coordination Meetings and Project Reviews
• Liaising with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site
• Assisting in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries
• Supporting the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentation
• Ensuring effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elements
• Identifying and helping resolve design, technical and coordination issues
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations

What you will bring

• Experience: a minimum of 3 years' experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services.
• Qualification: a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or a similar discipline.
• Background: experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects, with a good understanding of design principles, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical skills: proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
• Approach: strong organisational and communication skills, with close attention to detail and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
• Bonus: data centre, industrial or mission-critical project experience is advantageous but not essential.
