Design Department Manager

Experience

Degree or higher in engineering discipline

Minimum 5 years industry or related industry experience

In-depth knowledge of relevant industry regulations and building standards

Experience of managing a team / department

BIM Modelling

Description

To take overall responsibility of all projects within the design department
Ensure all designs meet contractual obligations and are specification compliant
Ensure all designs comply with the building safety act 2022
Work closely with the project planner, production planner, installations manager and Managing Director to ensure all design and fabrication programs are met
Ensure all designers are following Hadrian's QMS
Provide weekly updates on designer workloads
Produce and action designers' development plans
Provide technical support to the design team and estimating team
Take overall responsibility for the productivity of the design department
Manage FIRAS accreditation and compliance
Collection and interrogation of design department timesheets
