Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual looking to build their career within the fashion industry. As a Design Admin Assistant, you will support the Womenswear Jersey and Knitwear Design teams within a well established, leading London supplier.

Based in their vibrant London offices, this is an admin-focused position requiring efficiency, attention to detail and a positive, can do attitude. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the design department, assisting with sample management, research, meeting preparation and day to day coordination.

This is an excellent entry level opportunity for someone eager to gain hands on experience and develop towards a future Designer role. This is a 12-month FTC.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Photograph, log and organise bought samples, development samples and meeting rails.
  • Manage and maintain sample organisation across jersey and knitwear departments.
  • Prepare for meetings by organising rails, boards and sample layouts.
  • Research trends, fabrics and trims relevant to womenswear.
  • Rework CADs into multiple colourways to support design development.
  • Pantone matching and colour referencing.
  • Order trims and fabrics, following through to delivery.
  • Raise Purchase Orders on the internal system.
  • Liaise with overseas factories regarding samples and developments.
  • Support the team with mood board preparation and seasonal research.
Person Specification:
  • A Design or Fashion-related degree is preferred.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal teams and overseas suppliers.
  • Computer literate, with working knowledge of Adobe (Illustrator/Photoshop preferred).
  • Strong awareness of current fashion trends and market awareness.
