Dermatology Admin Support Volunteer - Amersham 
About this role: At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, we have a simple vision - Safe and Compassionate Care Every Time. Volunteers help to enhance the patient experience and complement the work of paid members of staff.
The Dermatology team at Amersham Hospital are looking for two volunteers to help with administrative tasks.
Commitment: A minimum of 3 hours a week for a minimum period of 6 months Monday to Friday.
What are the key tasks? (non clinical role)- Signing in at the beginning of your shift and check in with your supervisor to gain an understanding of key tasks that need to be completed and upcoming events.
- Welcome and befriending any patients / visitors to the department and answering any basic queries.
- Answering telephone calls, dealing with general enquiries from prospective volunteers and passing on messages to paid staff
- Sorting out post and sending letters
- Photocopying, Filing and Shredding of paperwork
- Debriefing with the Volunteer Manager at the end of your shift, making them aware of work completed and any issues/concerns
X Provide counselling and therapy
X Give medical advice
X Administer medication or provide intimate care

- Volunteers must be over 18 years.
- All Volunteers will require a DBS check.
- Participation in the training relevant to your role and confidential discussion of any reasonable adjustments required to meet your needs.
