Deputy Store Manager

We're recruiting a Deputy Store Manager to join our Alnwick team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you'll play a key role in running the store - driving performance, maintaining high standards, and leading your team by example. This is a hands-on role where you'll be active on the shop floor, setting the pace and coaching your team to success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team on a day-to-day basis and drive performance on the shop floor
• Set high standards for service, operations, and compliance
• Coach and develop medium to large teams; implement training and succession planning
• Maintain strong commercial acumen with a track record of hitting KPIs
• Ensure coverage across varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• Support in driving compliance across stock, health & safety, and processes

What we're looking for

• Retail management experience in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop medium to large teams
• Strong commercial acumen and track record of hitting KPIs
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• Experience in FMCG or big box retail is ideal, but not essential
