Deputy Nursery Manager

Zero2Five is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a high-quality small private day nursery setting in Earlsfield, London. The RoleYou will work closely with the Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding. You will lead by example, support staff development, and help create a positive, nurturing environment for children and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the nursery
• Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
• Ensure full compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Oversee planning, observations, and children's development
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursery role
• Leadership skills with the ability to support and delegate effectively
• A positive, professional, and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for early years education and childcare
