Reed Education are working with a vibrant nursery located within a soft play environment in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. They provide a fun, stimulating, and nurturing space for children to learn, explore, and grow. The team is passionate about high-quality Early Years care, and they are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager to join our setting.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the daily running of our nursery. This is a room-based role working closely alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and early education.

This position is ideal for an experienced Deputy Manager or a strong Room Leader ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
• Work in a room-based capacity, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children.
• Lead and support staff to maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
• Uphold all safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to planning, observations, and curriculum delivery.

Requirements

• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above).
• Prior experience working within a nursery environment.
• Experience as a Deputy Manager or a Room Leader looking for progression.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and supporting children's development.
