Deputy Manager - Residential Children's Home
Location: Purley
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time

Our client is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established four bedded residential children's home dedicated to providing high quality, therapeutic care for young people aged with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

About the Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the home's culture and operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day to day management of the home, ensuring high quality care and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading, supervising, and developing a dedicated staff team.
  • Promoting a positive and nurturing environment for young people, helping them build life skills and resilience.
  • Implementing safeguarding procedures and maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a children's home.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and children's residential care legislation.
  • Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
  • Passion, resilience, and a strong desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including some evenings and weekends.
