Location: Crawley, West Sussex, South East England, RH10

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a newly established OFSTED-registered Children's Home in Crawley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Registered Manager, supporting children to lead meaningful and happy lives within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing managerial leadership to the day-to-day operation of the home.
• Assessing, planning, and reviewing the needs of the children to ensure personalised care.
• Undertaking specialist assessments, care planning, and evaluating service user needs.
• Facilitating and attending meetings and appointments for all children.
• Managing and updating service user files, including risk assessments, care plans, and education records.
• Supervising and managing the daily workload of staff within the home.
• Supporting the recruitment, induction, supervision, and development of team members.
• Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed and maintained.
• Planning activities and enhancing the children's overall experience.
• Addressing safeguarding issues promptly and appropriately.
• Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring compliance with OFSTED standards and legislation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Relevant health or social care qualification (NVQ Level 4 or 5, or equivalent).
• Proven management experience within a registered children's home environment.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Experience in supervising and supporting staff, with strong leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legal requirements.
• IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to support children's appointments and activities.
