Deputy Manager

DEPUTY MANAGER Rainham Salary: £32,000-£35,000 per annum pro rata Age group: 2-5 years Qualification: Level 3 Early Years qualification or above Start date: 7 September 2026 Working pattern: Term time only The role Great Starts Recruitment is working with an Early Years setting in Rainham to recruit a confident and motivated Deputy Manager. You will support the Nursery Manager with the leadership of the setting while remaining closely connected to the quality of care and learning delivered each day. Key responsibilities • Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the setting and deputise when required. • Help lead and coach the team, promoting consistently high-quality EYFS practice across the nursery. • Support safeguarding, ratios, health and safety, policies and regulatory compliance. • Monitor children's learning and development and help maintain a stimulating, inclusive environment. • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers and contribute to continuous improvement and Ofsted readiness. What we're looking for • A full and relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3. • A sound understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities. • Previous leadership or senior Early Years experience appropriate to the level of the role. • Confident communication, organisation and team-leadership skills.
