Job Title: Deputy Children's Manager
Location: Shrewsbury, England
Salary: £41,036.49 - £41,651.39 per year
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Full time, 2:4 shift pattern
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: Required (part of the 2:4 pattern)

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); willingness to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
Experience Required: At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role in residential care, plus 2 years' experience working in residential childcare

Who we are looking for:
A passionate and experienced Deputy Care Manager to help lead our client's dedicated team in delivering therapeutic care. You'll bring strong leadership skills, a commitment to best practice, and a genuine desire to help young people thrive. You'll deputise for the Registered Manager, oversee staff supervision and development, ensure compliance with safeguarding protocols, plan shifts and resources, and support the delivery of individual care and therapeutic plans - all while working directly with children to promote positive relationships and outcomes.
You'll need excellent understanding of child development and trauma-informed practice, confidence with Microsoft Office, a full UK driving licence, and the resilience to work flexibly, including weekends and sleep-ins.
