Responsibilities

• Lead the care team to ensure safety, support and person centred care for residents.
• Regularly review resident needs and maintain hygiene, cleanliness and equipment standards.
• Support the Registered Manager in day to day operations and assume full capacity in their absence.
• Induct new team members and provide ongoing supervision and support to existing staff.
• Complete care audits to maintain good practice and trigger reviews as resident needs change.
• Create and review person centred care plans that focus on dignity and individuality.
• Liaise with families, care professionals, social workers and residents to ensure holistic care.
• Monitor, report and investigate risks, safeguarding concerns or harms, and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure administrative records - daily care notes, medication charts, meeting notes - are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Prior experience leading a team of care assistants (and Registered Nurses if clinical).
• QCF Level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• Available to work 42 hours per week.
