About the Deputy Manager Role

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in running our children's residential service, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and therapeutic support. You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operationsLead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing care teamEnsure robust safeguarding, care planning, and accurate record-keepingPromote a nurturing, emotionally secure home environmentAdvocate for the individual needs and rights of every childCollaborate closely with education, therapy, and clinical teams

What You'll Need

Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting (essential)QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (essential)Level 5 Leadership & Management (preferred or willingness to complete)Full UK Manual Driving Licence & own transport (essential due to rural location)Ability to work a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-insStrong understanding of safeguarding, emotional resilience, and team leadership
