Deputy Manager / Early Years Professional

Deputy Manager Banana Moon Barnstaple is a thriving nursery looking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and motivational Deputy Manager to join our management team. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a happy nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.

Requirements

• Full-time, 40 hours
• Work between the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm
• Level 3 (Minimum)
• Two years post-qualifying experience (Minimum)
• Experience as Room Leader (prefered)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Manager and may have responsibility as a Room Leader whilst also being expected to take responsibility for every day management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager
• The role requires the confidence to make decisions considering the reputation and financial aspects of the business whilst balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
• To support operational management of the nursery facilities and staff, to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is delivered at all times. Responsible for company adherence to Banana Moon policies and procedures.
• To promote a successful and profitable business, engaging with the local community and marketing the nursery to reach maximum occupancy whilst providing excellent customer care.
• Acting as a named co-ordinator relevant to their skills or training as designated by the Nursery Manager.

Eary Years Professional

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 qualified Early Years Professional to join our team at Banana Moon Day Nursery, Barnstaple. As an Early Years Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years old.

Requirements

• Hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years (minimum Level 3)
• Flexibile between the hours of 7:30am / 6:00pm
• Part-time / Full-tiime
• Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passionate about providing high-quality care and education for children.
• Valid DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Observe and assess children's progress, keeping records and providing feedback to parents.
