The Role

As Deputy Headteacher - Student Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our pastoral systems, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.

• Lead on behaviour, safeguarding (deputy DSL), and student welfare.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
• Work closely with staff, students, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and aspirational school culture.
• Drive forward initiatives that support mental health, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the school.

What we are looking for:

• Has a proven track record of improving student behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
• Is a strong and visible presence, able to inspire and motivate students and staff.
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and equity for all learners.
• Has experience in safeguarding and child protection at a senior level.
• Possesses the resilience, creativity, and ambition to help drive rapid school improvement.
