£30,000 - £33,000 DOE Full Time 4-Day Week

The Role

This position is ideal for an experienced RVN seeking progression into senior nursing leadership while maintaining hands on clinical responsibilities. You will work closely with veterinary surgeons and the nursing leadership team to ensure exceptional clinical standards, excellent patient care, and a positive working environment.

The role combines clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, supporting team development and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Support

  • Lead, mentor and support members of the nursing team
  • Assist with rota coordination and daily workflow management
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Act as a key point of contact within the clinical team

Clinical Duties

  • Remain actively involved in surgical, inpatient and consult nursing
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and client communication
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practice standards
  • Support accreditations and RCVS Practice Standards Scheme compliance

Training & Development

  • Support student veterinary nurse training and development
  • Encourage utilisation of full RVN skill sets
  • Contribute to clinical audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Operational Responsibilities

  • Assist with stock control and equipment maintenance
  • Support implementation and review of practice policies and procedures
