This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to join a specialist setting in Northampton, supporting young people with additional needs through a personalised, inclusive curriculum. As Deputy Head of School, you will play a key leadership role in driving forward standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring the school remains inspection-ready at all times.

About the Role:

As Deputy Head of School, you will support the Head of School and the wider leadership team in the operational and strategic management of the school. You will lead on curriculum delivery, student behaviour, safeguarding, and staff performance-making a real difference in the lives of young learners in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day operational management of the school
Ensure delivery of a broad, high-quality, and engaging curriculum
Lead on safeguarding, student welfare, and staff behaviour support
Contribute to a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
Represent the school positively within the Northampton community

Essential Requirements:

QTS or QTLS with a relevant degree
Proven leadership experience within a school or alternative provision
Strong understanding of safeguarding and SEND best practice
Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Desirable:

NPQSL or NPQH
Experience working with challenging behaviours or in an independent school
Familiarity with virtual learning environments
