Children's Home Deputy Manager - Newcastle

Salary up to £36,000. This role does not offer sponsorship.

This Deputy Manager role is ideal for experienced Senior Residential Support Workers or current Deputy Managers looking to further develop their leadership skills within residential childcare.

What We're Looking For
  • A caring, resilient, and motivated individual
  • Aged 22 or over (in line with regulations)
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare
  • Experience working directly with children and young people
  • Full UK manual driving licence
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the home
  • Lead shifts and provide effective supervision to staff
  • Assist with staff rotas and team management
  • Lead team meetings and contribute to staff development
  • Ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Provide guidance and support to the wider staff team

  • Salary: £32,500 - £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
