Depot Manager

We are recruiting for a Depot Manager for a large national client who manufacture and supply large equipment used within industrial and construction industries. Company Leading national equipment rental company Job Title Depot Manager Location Portlaoise, County Laoise Salary £60k basic (€70K) + 10% bonus + excellent benefits Role Overseeing the daily operations of the site and grounds, managing logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. Building relationships with internally with the customer service team, and externally with customers, suppliers and hauliers. Conducting regular inspections to maintain safety and compliance with regulations. Ensuring that the depot is kept clean and organised. Developing and implementing processes and procedures for continual improvement. Providing training and development for yard staff and maintaining records. Ensuring that all team members adhere to health & safety protocols and use PPE as required. Driving company vehicles safely and performing vehicle and equipment inspections. Hands on role - attaching trucks to trailers, move heavy equipment, and coordinating transportation for material delivery. Requirements Proven experience in a depot management role. Strong knowledge of logistics, materials management, and safety protocols. Experience in freight management and transportation coordination. Comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors. Proficient in computer use for inventory management and reporting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Very proactive approach and driving efficiency
