About the role

The School of Dentistry requires a Dental Nurse to join our onsite clinic based team. This role requires a suitably qualified, GDC registered dental nurse to work flexibly providing nursing across our clinical teaching activities, patient based regulated activities, supporting external epidemiology studies and oral health promotion.

  • Support and assist the range of clinicians onsite, including Consultants, Dentists, Therapists, Hygienists, visiting academics or students.
  • Provide full chairside support and preparation of clinical areas for teaching programs including implantology, periodontology, endodontology, oral surgery and prosthodontics, as well as BDSi DclinDent and clinical teaching classes.
  • Assist with the setup for chairside teaching and support day to day operations across a 4 day schedule usually between 09 00.
Requirements

Candidates will need to evidence substantial experience in a busy dental environment, possess knowledge of SOE and have excellent communication skills. Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council and hold a National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses, or NVQ Level 3.
