The Opportunity

A vacancy has arisen for a Demand Planner in Middlesbrough, UK, on a permanent basis.


The role of the Demand Planner is to develop and maintain a rolling 16-month demand forecast by collaborating with Commercial teams, analyzing historical sales data and market trends, considering external factors, and actively managing product changes and introductions.

  • Work closely with Commercial teams to develop and maintain rolling forecasts for key customers and regions, analyzed and revised according to the S&OP calendar.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on key process metrics, monitor adherence to KPIs, and report significant changes in sales forecasts and budgets, implementing solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches to track key KPIs such as forecast accuracy and bias on a monthly basis.
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecasts based on demand changes and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Innovation and Commercial Teams to support the innovation agenda.
The Skills you will bring to the team
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field / equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within FMCG supply chain environments.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning processes and techniques.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience with JDA is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with extensive MS Excel and data analysis skills, along with strong mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Deep analytical skills, confident in managing large data sets.
  • Experience within the European region is advantageous.
