Brinsworth £23.33 per hour 42 hours per week

Make a difference every day as a Delivery Planner

We're looking for a Delivery Planner to join our Delivery Planning Centre in Brinsworth, helping ensure our customers receive their bulk deliveries safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll be at the heart of our delivery operation, coordinating drivers, vehicles and customer requirements across a 24/7 operation.

What you'll do

  • Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules for bulk customers.

  • Act as a key point of contact for customer delivery queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.

  • Monitor customer stock levels, orders and telemetry information to anticipate delivery requirements.

  • Coordinate drivers, vehicles, product availability and transport movements to make the best use of resources.

  • Respond to unexpected delivery and operational issues, finding practical solutions while maintaining excellent customer service.

  • Work closely with customers, drivers, transport teams, sales colleagues and product supply.

  • Support the response to transport emergencies and minimise disruption to customers.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure relevant systems and quality procedures are kept up to date.

  • Plan and book daily shipping arrangements with Irish Sea ferry operators, ensuring that the use of low-cost sailings is optimised without compromising customer service levels

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, customer service and logistics planning.

What we're looking for

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in logistics, transport planning or supply chain operations.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Good IT skills, including spreadsheets and data analysis.

  • A good understanding of UK transport networks.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

A qualification in logistics or a similar subject is desirable, but relevant logistics experience will also be considered.

Working pattern

42 hours per week at £23.33 per hour.

The role operates within a 24/7 delivery planning environment, so flexibility is required. Working patterns may include Monday to Friday or weekends, with one weekend night shift approximately every 13 weeks.

Shift patterns could be as below

Monday to Friday between 0600 - 2030 (any 11 hours)

Any sat & Sundays 0600 - 2030 (up to any 8 hours)

1 in 13 set of - 0630
