About the roleAs the Delivery and Operations Manager for Cloud Platforms, you will be the accountable owner for the Partnerships Google Cloud Platforms (GCP). You will oversee the provision of secure, performant, and cost-effective technical solutions to meet business needs. You will facilitate the ongoing migration of infrastructure components to public cloud (GCP) and simplify & rationalise technologies within the area. You will establish and maintain operational excellence across the Partnership Cloud Ecosystem (PCE), leading a mixture of Partners, multiple service providers, and stakeholders.
Working alongside Architecture and Principal Product colleagues, you will define the vision for our cloud platforms, prioritise work, provide expertise to support business outcomes, and lead platform engineering teams.
- Salary: £75,000 - £140,000
- Contract type: Permanent
- Working pattern: Hybrid approach, combining office and home working based on personal needs and business requirements
- Location: Bracknell/Pimlico Head Office
You will own decisions related to:
- Shaping and delivering our Cloud Platform strategy
- Managing relationships with strategic vendors, including Google
- Serving as the point of escalation for your technology tower
- Implementing Operational Excellence
- Driving adoption of DevSecOps best practices
- Providing technical direction and oversight of Google Cloud platforms
- Driving automation and cost efficiency
- Mentoring and inspiring a diverse team of Product owners and Platform Engineers
You will also contribute to cost management, working with the FinOps team, and collaborate with Security Operations and other Infrastructure areas to embed capability within the organization.

Essential skills/experience- Proven track record in leading technology transformations and large-scale cloud migrations
- Experience leading IT delivery in agile environments, motivating technical teams
- Technical expertise in key technologies (to be specified)
- Experience managing managed services and third-party contracts
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevSecOps frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex IT topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong commercial and operational acumen, with experience building relationships with third parties
- Leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience in a Retail IT environment
- Containerisation experience
