Job Description

Main purpose of the role: Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

Qualifications
  • HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
  • Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
  • The ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment, and to multi task under pressure.
  • A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
Main duties
  • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative.
  • Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas: make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using the store's portion control measures.
  • Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day.
  • Maintain counter displays across all fresh food departments to the highest standards at all times throughout the day.
  • Demonstrate passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
  • Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
About the locality

Deli Assistant required for Riordans Supervalu Fermoy P61 AX04.

Working 4-5 days per week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 1 Sunday per month from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Full training will be provided; experience in food prep/service is an advantage but not essential.

Applicants must be within commuting distance of Fermoy, Co. Cork.
