DDI Infrastructure Architect

DDI Infrastructure Architect Contract - Hybrid South Yorkshire (3 days on site) - Immediate Start - 12 Months Rolling

We're working with a major enterprise technology programme that's looking to bring in an experienced DDI Architect/Subject Matter Expert to lead the design and delivery of large scale DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure.

This is a long term rolling contract, offering a mix of strategic design work and hands on engineering in a complex, high availability environment.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of DDI architecture and delivery across enterprise environments, working closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading large scale DDI infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and platform transformations
• Designing, deploying, and operationalising DNS, DHCP & IPAM services across new and existing environments
• Ensuring DDI platforms are scalable, resilient, and consumable for internal teams
• Managing technical risk, downstream service impact, and operational dependencies
• Producing technical documentation and supporting project governance
• Working in an Agile delivery environment (JIRA exposure beneficial)
• Collaborating across distributed teams and stakeholders

What They're Looking For:

• Strong background as a DDI Architect/Engineer/SME
• Hands on experience with enterprise DDI platforms such as: Infoblox, EfficientIP, Cygna VitalQIP, F5 BIG-IP DNS
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS
• Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and platform changes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have:

• Automation or Scripting (Ansible, Python, Shell, APIs, JSON, etc.)
• Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban, JIRA)
• Enterprise or regulated-environment background
