An exciting opportunity has arisen at Beech House Veterinary Hospital in Warrington, Cheshire. This role has been specially created for individuals that would like to work a mix of first opinion day & ECC OOH shifts in a busy hospital practice.

About Us

Our beautiful, recently refurbished practice has an established OOH service that currently looks after the OOH for 8outreaching practices. Our impressive facilities include clean corridor with 3 operating theatres (with DR X-ray in orthopaedic theatre), ultrasound suite, DR X-ray, dental room and endoscopes. The practice and cattery are working to gold ISFM standard and in October 2025 we were awarded RCVS PSS Hospital status.

The Role

This would involve working 10-day shifts (9 hours each) across a 6-week period to fit around the OOH part-time rota. This is a rolling 6-week pattern and has some scope for flex of the day shifts for the right candidate.

The night shift working pattern is 7 nights in a rolling 6-week block alternating 3 nights Friday-Sunday and 4 nights Monday-Thursday, which is a fixed pattern.

The proposed day shifts would include a combination of 2 day-5-day blocks (Monday-Wednesdays, with the 5-day block including 1 weekend).

The combined role would equate to circa 15hours/week on average for days and 14.05hours/week for nights.

The OOH are from 7:30pm - 8:30 the following morning, the day shifts are 9-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm on a rota.

Salary - up to £65k FTE depending on experience
