As the Day Programs Mental Health Practitioner, you are responsible to carry out the clinical program as outlined in the Treatment Plan for Day Students in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Carries out skills counseling with students as outlined by a mental health professional.
• Completes all documentation and communication within the established timelines and guidelines.
• Maintains professional relationships with community resources and providers to collaborate with and refer students to as appropriate.
• Participates in required program functions including staff meetings, supervisory sessions and Circle of Courage. Provides direct supervision to clients.
• Initiates professional development by participating in internal and external training and development opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma

Must meet State of Minnesota requirements for a Mental Health Practitioner and have a minimum of 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults with mental illness, substance use disorder, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities; OR Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university; OR Have at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience as above and receive clinical supervision until the 4,000 total hours have been obtained. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel multi-county area.

Job Related Experience: One (1) year of experience working with children in a daycare, day treatment, or school setting
