Databricks Data Engineer

Databricks Data Engineer - 6 months contract, high chance of extension. Outside IR35, £450 £500 per day. Fully Remote (Applicants must be UK based and have own Ltd co.).

We are looking for a hands on Databricks Data Engineer to guide my consultancy clients team and oversee the data platform. This role involves leading engineering efforts, managing DevOps workflows, and ensuring robust configuration and documentation of Databricks environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering across the platform
• Supervise DevOps processes including branching, merging, and CI/CD
• Act as Databricks Data SME and manage environment promotion
• Maintain configuration, documentation, and monitoring
• Mentor and support Perm Data Engineers

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure DevOps
• Proficient in SQL and PySpark
• Proven leadership in small engineering teams
• Skilled in configuration management and documentation
