Data/BI Engineer

Hereford £30,000 - £50,000

An established organisation based in Hereford is looking to recruit a Data / BI Engineer to join its small internal IT team.

This is a hands on role where you will help improve reporting, data processes and internal systems across the business. You'll have real visibility, variety, and the opportunity to shape how data is used day to day.

Working closely with the IT Manager, you will:

• Develop and improve reporting and business intelligence solutions

• Build and maintain dashboards and data models

• Improve data currently managed through spreadsheets and ERP systems

• Support development of bespoke internal systems and integrations

• Contribute to wider technical and process improvement initiatives

• Get involved in varied technical tasks within a collaborative team

This role offers genuine ownership and the chance to make practical improvements that impact the whole business.

We are open to a range of experience levels within the salary band, however you should have:

• Experience with SQL

• Experience using Power BI or similar BI tools

• Exposure to data reporting, modelling or automation

• An interest in development or scripting (language flexible)

• A practical, problem solving mindset

• A collaborative attitude suited to a small team environment

You do not need to be a senior Data Engineer. Curiosity, adaptability and willingness to learn are just as important as technical depth.

• Salary between £30,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
