Data Protection Officer

Our client is a leading Digital Consultancy, delivering innovative solutions to major financial institutions. They are seeking a Data Protection Officer to join their team on an interim basis, supporting key accounts with data privacy and compliance activities.
Working as part of the wider Risk and Assurance Directorate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the business maintains compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act. You'll provide practical advice and support to operational teams, assist with data protection impact assessments, and contribute to the development of privacy frameworks and controls.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a data protection professional looking to step into a dynamic consultancy environment, working alongside experienced privacy leaders and contributing to high-profile client engagements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in the following areas:

• Strong working knowledge of UK and EU data protection laws, including GDPR.
• Experience supporting data privacy compliance activities in a business or consultancy environment.
• Ability to conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and support incident response processes.
• Confidence in providing clear, practical advice to business stakeholders on data protection matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and promote a culture of privacy.
• Experience working in or with financial services organisations is desirable.
