The project:

Our client in the utilities sector is looking for a Data Program Implementation Manager tojoin their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to or support the development of a roadmap, including the launch of upcoming waves of business-led data products. This roadmap will also outline the transition from IT-led to business-led data ownership and must be regularly reviewed and updated.
• Support the structured development of data products using the program's established data product checklist. May also assist in evolving and refining this approach.
• Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for business and IT
• Have sufficient technical understanding of data management and architecture (data platforms, contracts, data mesh principles, etc.) to communicate effectively with IT-without being a deep technical expert.
• Coach data product owners, domain owners, and data stewards in their respective roles.
• Set up and facilitate communities of practice (guilds) for each of these roles, including follow-up of improvement initiatives launched within these groups.
• Further develop and align governance elements (terms of reference, governance processes, etc.).
• Assist the Program Manager in preparing stakeholder meetings.
• Refine deliverables within the program, such as clarifying quality criteria for data lineage or defining standards for information concept documentation.
• Potentially lead ad hoc cross-functional initiatives focused on data quality.

Is this you?

• Proven and extensive experience in data (quality) management, data governance, and data mesh principles is essential.
• Strong track record in managing change and transition projects, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of data-related technologies (databases, integration tools), data platforms, architecture, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated experience in data governance implementation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical data experts and senior management.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of building bridges between business and IT.
• Analytical, flexible, and highly organized.
• Pragmatic and creative, with an out-of-the-box co-creation approach.
• Master's degree, ideally in engineering, business engineering, or IT.
• Trilingual (Dutch, French, English) - German is an asset.
• Able to work independently and in teams, and to devise creative, effective solutions.
