Job Description

Aspiring Futures is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. We believe in social inclusion, cultural diversity and improving the quality of life of women through lifelong learning, health awareness mental health support and social connectedness.

We aim to develop the capacity and skills of women from socially excluded and economically disadvantaged groups and aim to raise awareness so that they are better able to identify and access opportunities

To support Aspiring Futures' mission by collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to service delivery, client outcomes, and community impact. This role ensures that accurate, timely, and meaningful data informs decision-making, funding applications, and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities: Data Collection & Management

Design and implement data collection tools (e.g., surveys, feedback forms, case tracking systems). Collect quantitative and qualitative data from service users, staff, and volunteers. Maintain secure and confidential databases in line with GDPR and organisational policies. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all programmes.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes for funded projects. Support the development of monitoring frameworks aligned with funder requirements. Conduct regular data audits and quality checks.

Report Writing

Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders. Draft impact reports, case studies, and evaluation summaries for funders and partners. Contribute to grant applications and funding bids with relevant data and evidence.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with programme leads to understand data needs and reporting timelines. Present findings in accessible formats (e.g., infographics, dashboards, presentations). Attend team meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.

Person Specification: Essential:
  • Experience in data collection, analysis (focusing on social outcomes, community impact and service effectiveness, and reporting (preferably in the voluntary/community sector).
  • Experience working with both quantitative (e.g., service usage stats) and qualitative (e.g., client feedback) data.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualisation tools (infographics, visual reports, and case studies that highlight impact).
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and maintain organised records.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection principles.
  • Ability to design simple, user-friendly tools for frontline staff and volunteers to collect data.
  • Ability to translate data into compelling narratives for funders, directors, and the public.
  • Experience training and supporting staff or volunteers in data collection and reporting.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of outcomes-based reporting and theory of change models.
  • Experience using CRM systems or case management software.
  • Familiarity with BACP ethical framework or similar standards.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by marginalised or underserved communities.
  • Ability to adapt data tools and language to be accessible and inclusive.
