Job SummaryAt WiiGroup, we're shaping the future of project delivery through data led insights, modern platforms, and intelligent analytics. We are hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and support scalable data platforms and analytics solutions for our clients, primarily within the AEC and life sciences sectors.
This role will focus on developing robust end to end data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric, supporting everything from raw data ingestion through to curated data models and Power BI dashboards.
The position is client facing and will involve close collaboration with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and technical peers to ensure solutions are well governed, scalable, and aligned to business requirements.
Our Ideal CandidateYou are an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and modern data engineering practices. You take ownership of solutions end to end-from architecture and ingestion through transformation, modelling, and analytics delivery.
You are comfortable engaging directly with clients, translating business needs into technical solutions, and clearly communicating complex concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
You bring a structured, best practice approach to data engineering, with a strong focus on governance, security, reliability, and documentation. You enjoy working in fast paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high quality delivery standards.
Experience RequiredStrong hands on experience designing and building data solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and OneLake
Proficiency in PySpark and/or SQL for data transformation and processing
Demonstrated experience implementing medallion (Bronze / Silver / Gold) lakehouse architectures
Proven experience designing star schema data models to support analytics and reporting
Experience building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, including DAX and KPI design
Experience integrating data from REST APIs and external platforms
Strong understanding of data security and governance, including RBAC, RLS, CLS, and OneLake security roles
Experience designing incremental data loads, pipeline orchestration, error handling, and monitoring
Familiarity with Git / Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD
Ability to produce clear technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and pipeline logic
Strong communication skills and confidence working in client facing, multidisciplinary environments
Ability to manage priorities across multiple client engagements
Experience working within the AEC domain
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk Forma, or similar platforms
Experience integrating project data with Primavera P6 or scheduling tools
Understanding of GDPR and data compliance requirements in a project data context
Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineering certifications (e.g., DP-600, DP-203, DP-700)
Active interest in staying up to date with new developments in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, with a willingness to share knowledge internally
