We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics Team.


What you'll be rocking:


  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data into the company's BigQuery Data Warehouse.
  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of the BigQuery Data Warehouse to ensure data availability, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, BI specialists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data governance policies are adhered to within the DWH.
  • Develop and manage data models within BigQuery to support analytical and reporting needs.
  • Work on data enrichment initiatives, integrating various data sources to enhance the value of our datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Document data pipelines, DWH architecture, and data transformation processes.
  • Stay current with Google BigQuery best practices, new features, and emerging trends in data engineering.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes and the overall data strategy.


What you bring to the table:


  • 1-3 years of experience in in data engineering, with a focus on data warehousing and ETL/ELT development.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Google BigQuery and other GCP data services (e.g., Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines for large datasets.


Educational milestone:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Excellent level of scientific and business English, spoken and written.


Your key superpowers:


  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Google BigQuery is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining data warehousing solutions.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data pipeline architecture.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language relevant to data engineering (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with data transformation, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques.
  • Knowledge of data quality frameworks and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the data space.
