Data Engineer - Purpose-Driven Technology

A purpose-driven technology company is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Platform Delivery team and help build the data infrastructure powering its core products. This role is ideal for someone passionate about using data to drive social impact, with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL Server
• Ingest and transform structured and semi-structured datasets with a focus on quality and performance
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure pipeline reliability
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to align data components with platform architecture
• Support client onboarding and troubleshoot data-related issues across the platform

Key Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in data engineering or platform engineering
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT frameworks (especially Azure Data Factory)
• Solid understanding of data modelling, validation, and quality management
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail
• A passion for social impact and continuous improvement
• Desirable: public sector client experience, familiarity with governance, exposure to broader software engineering practices.
