Breakfix Data Centre Engineer

• On-site in Croydon, must drive with own car as will be required to visit other sites
• Mix of 10-12 hour day and night shifts, 4 on/4 off shift pattern

Must be CompTIA certified or certifications in one of the following - HPE Server Solutions, Dell/EMC PowerEdge Associate, IBM, Lenovo or Oracle Hardware.

Will involve some heavy lifting.

The duties include:

Upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining HPE, IBM, Lenovo, Dell and Sun/Oracle Servers.

Identifying, analysing, and repairing product failures, ordering and replacing faulty parts.

Updating call logging system when completing calls and communicating when carrying out any work.

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the server hardware break fix arena.

Create, update and close calls on the company in house bespoke system.

Requirements

Good administration + MS Office, and communication skill and adherence to strict site regulations and working practices.

Willingness to work flexibly depending on demand and workload.

Willingness and ability to learn new skills very essential

Previous breakfix Datacentre or large enterprise experience essential.

A knowledge of Networking and cabling Experience would be desirable however, not essential
