Data Architect (Guidewire + AWS)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to lead and support the design, modeling, and optimization of large-scale data solutions for a major data migration project to AWS, within the context of Guidewire, a leading insurance platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with a specialized Center of Excellence team, contributing to strategic decisions and technical implementations across both business and core systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and model data architectures and systems for massive data storage and processing.
• Understand and document data flows and data models across internal and external systems.
• Define and promote data modeling standards and best practices.
• Ensure data design compliance with established architecture standards for core systems and business applications.
• Analyze and validate data consistency across platforms.
• Design relational and non-relational database structures to support business applications.
• Design the physical layout and security of database systems.
• Maintain database performance, integrity, and security.
• Optimize and continuously improve data architecture strategies.
• Identify system issues and build tools or applications to address them.
• Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders.
• Lead and oversee the data migration process: extraction, validation, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Translate data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
