Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support our data workstream by managing data quality issues, driving root-cause analysis, and improving master/reference data across multiple systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and fully aligned across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the data quality Kanban board and ensure all incoming issues are properly reviewed and prioritised
- Investigate new data issues, define clear use cases, and identify whether the root cause is process, system, or data-related
- Support data mapping activities between source and target systems, collaborating closely with SMEs for validation
- Contribute to improving master and reference data by analysing terminology, identifying inconsistencies, and supporting integration across platforms
- Track high-impact or unresolved data issues and highlight risks or dependencies
- Prepare concise reports and escalate critical issues when needed
- Partner with business, technical, and governance groups to resolve problems and strengthen data processes
What We're Looking For
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data quality processes, issue triage, and use case development.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with master data, controlled vocabularies, or reference data models preferred.
- Life Sciences or scientific data experience is highly desirable.
